Jeff currently assists students and faculty as a reference librarian. He has a wealth of knowledge in the workings of the CSUDH library, however, as he has also held positions as head of circulation, acquisitions/serials librarian, assistant library director, automation coordinator and more. You can thank Jeff for the ability to search our library catalog from your computer as he was involved with the massive undertaking to automate our library’s holdings.
Jeff is a geography and history junkie. His office is lined with history books on unfamiliar, yet important, topics. Here you will find the Battle for the Bundu by Charles Miller, a tome on WWI in East Africa. Want information on the Russian conquest of Central Asia? Ask Jeff for Campaigning on the Oxus & the Fall of Khiva by J.A. Mac Gahan. When Jeff isn’t absorbed in exploring historical events he is studying math and astronomy from online educational resources. Jeff considers himself an expert on Thailand, where he lives part of the year. He also speaks a little Thai.
