Caroline is responsible for coordinating the library instruction programs offered to students. She also teaches the library orientation sessions and regularly works behind the reference desk. Caroline is involved with many campus committees and professional activities including holding a leadership position in the California Faculty Association.
Caroline is inspired by her colleagues and CSUDH students; interacting with them is her favorite part of the day. As an extra job perk, she gets to be near the reference collection and discover the many interesting books sitting on its shelves. For Caroline, her favorites are the Europa World Yearbook and the Encyclopedia of Associations. She loves to page through the Yearbook exploring the fascinating facts of a country’s political and social development. She invites everyone to take a look at the Encyclopedia of Associations. “There’s an association for everything! You can even find a West Coast Chapter of the Tiddly Winks Association.? Now, how many of you know what a Tiddly Wink is?
Caroline is a big fan and collector of Hello Kitty curiosities. She’s very proud of the limited edition Dodger Hello Kitty plush that adorns her home book shelf.

Research / Presentations: Caroline has a number of articles published within the areas of library instruction and teaching/learning methods. She has made presentations at professional conferences on the varied pedagogical techniques utilized in libraries and the global standards of information literacy. Caroline also is a peer reviewer for articles submitted to the journal Communications and Information Literacy.
