  • 2000 2003 SCORE grant from MBRS, $35,000 for The Relation Between Childhood Trauma and Hemispheric Asymmetry in Adulthood.
  • 2005, 1999, 1998, 1996, 1995, 1994, 1990, 1989, 1998, 1987 Grants for research equipment, student research assistants, summer research salary and/or travel from CSUDH. Topics studied included: (1) influence of sex hormones on various sexually dimorphic behaviors, (2) long term effects of child abuse: cognitive and psychological consequences, (3) relationship of personality variables on academic integrity, (4) influence of prenatal exposure to alcohol on personality and cognitive variables, and (5) genetic factors affecting reaction to trauma.
  • Harbor/UCLA research grant for studying psychological and physiological consequences of parental alcoholism.
