Objective:
Students will perform research on the Internet, create a brochure, and evaluate a web site.
Activity:
Using a recommended high school or community college web site, students will:
1. Choose a subject they are interested in.
2. Access appropriate web site.
3. Read text and print or copy 10 facts.
4. Create a brochure announcing this web site and what type of information is available.
5. List the 10 facts in a column entitled, "Did you know that . . . "
6. E-mail the webmaster and offer what parts of the site you liked, didn't like and what improvements could be made.
7. Join a chat group to exchange information.
