Objective:
Students look at a category of reference tools and discuss what each tool is supposed to do and writes answers to questions about the tool.
Activity:
1. Class is divided into small cooperative groups.
2. Each group will be given a specific reference tool. As a group they will examine the tool and construct one question and answer per student per group. The source for the answer must be found in the index.
3. The teacher collects the question from each group and selects some from each group as an assignment/test. This is given to all students to do on their second visit to the library.
