Q. I found a citation, but there's no full text. How can I find out whether the CSUDH   
     Library owns the journal title and date I need?
A.  --click "Does CSUDH own the journal you need? " on the LH side of the Nursing and Health Sciences page
      --click "I know the title of the journal I want"
      --type the title of the journal into the "Find" box and click the "Search" button
         If the library owns the journal, you'll see a clickable display of all of the
        databases that contain the journal as well as available dates.

Q.  How can I obtain an article from an online journal to which I don't have
      remote access?
A.   Send the citation(s) to the Library Distance Learning Services Coordinator
       (cdales@csudh.edu) to have the article(s) sent to you via e-mail.

Q.   I need an article in a journal the CSUDH Library doesn't seem to have in any format.
       How can I get it?
A.   Send the citation(s) to the Library Distance Learning Services Coordinator
       cdales@csudh.edu). It may be possible to obtain a copy through Interlibrary Loan.  

Q.  I want to see a list all of the journal indexes to which the CSUDH Library
     subscribes, not just the Nursing and Health Sciences titles.
A.     The Find Journal Articles and Electronic Resources button (on the Library Home
         Page at http://library.csudh.edu/) links you to pages that list all of the databases
         available.

Q.   Exactly what is a citation?
A.   Complete information required to identify a particular article.
       A citation to a journal article includes:
        -- the author's name
        -- the title of the article
        -- the title of the journal
        -- the date (year and, sometimes, the month or season)
        -- the volume and, sometimes, the issue number (e.g: 22:3)
        -- page numbers
