DISABLED STUDENTS
COMPUTER WORKSTATION

The University Library is pleased to announce the availability  of two computer workstations dedicated to  disabled patrons.  The information needs of people with disabilities vary greatly (as do the needs of all  patrons), and integrating flexibility into all Library  systems is a key to meeting its mission.  One workstation is dedicated for  patrons with low vision and  is equipped with a large text high-contrast Braille keyboard. This workstation is always set to high contrast large text display.  The other  workstation sits upon a height-adjustable table for patrons using a wheelchair and also has the capacity to change the display from regular settings to large high-contrast display for patrons with low vision.  Both workstations  possess magnifying software that allows for the magnification of both text and images.  These workstations are only one component in the University Library’s continuing drive to better serve patrons with disabilities.
