Bowker, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc., is the only complete record of in-print and forthcoming books published or distributed in the U.S. available to the general public or trade for single or multiple copy purchases. The database contains over 1.2 million books of all kinds: adult, juvenile, popular, scholarly, and reprints. Books In Print (R) With Book Reviews contains 300,000 full-text book reviews that allow the user to evaluate the content of the most recent releases as well as that of backlist titles dating from 1985.
Each month, approximately 11,000 new records are added to the database and 110,000 entries are revised and updated with new prices and other bibliographic details. Although not all records contain a review, more than 30,000 book reviews are added each year.
